Darwin's Radio was formed following the break-up of two well-known and successful progressive rock acts on the UK live circuit when Mark Westworth and Sean Spear of Grey Lady Down joined up with Declan Burke of The Spirit of Rush in the summer of 2002.  Both these bands played prestigious venues in the UK and abroad including The Marquee, The London Astoria and The Mean Fiddler.  Completing the line-up is Tim Churchman, also of TSoR, who has recently taken up the drumming duties from Dave Pankhurst.

Darwin's Radio's musical style draws influences from traditional progressive rock acts such as Yes and Genesis, whilst incorporating styles found in contemporary artists such as Dream Theater, Porcupine Tree and Muse.  Melody and dynamics are at the forefront of the band's music which is fully demonstrated on their recently produced a 3-track EP “Pictures”.  Sound clips of the songs from the EP can be accessed on the band's website at www.darwinsradio.co.uk.

The band is currently in the studio mixing material for their debut album Eyes of the World and is currently courting record company interest in the hope releasing the cd in late spring 2006.

The band's dynamic live set currently consists of a mix of excellent self-penned compositions and superb classic rock covers including songs by Rush, Dream Theater, Genesis and Porcupine Tree among others.
